Eleven Experience is an adventure travel company with properties around the globe. At each destination, comfortable lodging and delicious, seasonal food are combined with guided outdoor adventures on mountains, in the backcountry, and on the water for guests of all ages and skill levels. No matter how remote, every lodge has custom, well designed accommodations, talented chefs, enticing spas, and world-class guides who will show you new dimensions of life, friendship, family, and adventure. Whether heli-skiing near the Arctic Circle in Iceland or casting for bonefish on a remote flat in the Bahamas, Eleven’s experiences are a different kind of escape.
Eleven currently has lodges operating in Colorado, France, Iceland, and Harbour Island, and two Motherships located in Andros, Marquesas Keys, Louisiana, and the Everglades depending on the time of the year. Eleven is excited that our newest property, Rio Palena Lodge, will be opening in Palena, Chile this November.
Scarp Ridge Lodge & Sopris House: Located in the heart of Crested Butte, Scarp Ridge Lodge and Sopris House feel like European ski chalets with Rocky Mountain style. Scarp Ridge Lodge and Sopris House deliver a rare combination of an authentic mountain town setting alongside some of the world’s most exclusive skiing (exclusive terrain for an incredible cat skiing experience). In the summer, Eleven’s guests enjoy guided mountain biking, hiking, climbing and rafting in the surrounding Rocky Mountains.
Taylor River Lodge: The off-the-grid location deep in Colorado’s Taylor Canyon is the perfect setting for friends, families and corporate groups to unplug and reconnect. Fishing is at the heart of the experience, with a stocked trout pond and a mile stretch of semi-private river steps from the cabins, and the Gunnison River minutes away for float trips. The surrounding mountains offer rugged single track and scenic hiking trails, and the on-site, rock climbing wall, archery and hatchet throwing area will make you nostalgic for your Scout days. After a day outdoors, steam and soak in the Bathhouse or cozy up in the main lodge with a good book.
Chalet Pelerin & Chalet Hibou: Chalet Pelerin and Chalet Hibou put guests in the epicenter of alpine adventure. Seven world-class ski resorts, including Tignes and Val d’Isère, are 30 minutes away or less. Best yet, the chalet’s proximity to the Italian border provides guests access to three heli-ski bases, with runs averaging 1,000 to 2,200 vertical meters. In the summer, choose your own adventure, from paragliding and mountain biking to glacier trekking and whitewater rafting. The chalets’ setting, nestled in the tiny mountain hamlet of Le Miroir, immerses guests in the local culture and provides the perfect base to recharge after a day in the mountains. Après in the outdoor hot tub or fireside in the rustic living room, then indulge in regional specialties like fondue and tartiflette.
Deplar Farm: The Fljót Valley in northern Iceland is a gateway for adventures ranging from horseback riding to heli-skiing. Located on a converted sheep farm, Deplar Farm blends into the natural landscape with its black timber cladding and grass-sodded roof, and the floor-to-ceiling windows around the property that embrace the surrounding peaks. Many guests choose to spend entire days in the spa, hopping from the geothermal-heated indoor/outdoor pool to the Isopod flotation tanks and outdoor Viking sauna. At the right time of the year, the property’s pool provides front-row seats to view the ghostly Northern Lights.
Bahama House: With just 11 rooms, Bahama House feels like a stylish friend’s beach retreat. A freshwater swimming pool and handcrafted tiki bar make it hard to leave. Located in the heart of Dunmore Town, popular restaurants and live music spots, are just minutes away. While the island is known for its laid back pace, Eleven’s guides know how to deliver a dose of adventure. Scuba dive or snorkel, cliff jump into a sapphire blue hole, or catch your own dinner on a deep sea fishing excursion. Property buyouts include a 35-foot Scorpion RIB Boat and captain, making it easy to explore neighboring islands.
Rio Palena Lodge: Set in a pristine Andean valley on the banks of the Rio Palena, Eleven’s casually elegant lodge is your ultimate adventure retreat. The central location in a region famous for large wild trout is highlighted by the home waters of the Palena; where guests can wade or float right out the front door. Add in a myriad of other rivers, lakes and streams and a day of remote helicopter fishing, and you have the most dynamic fly fishing experience in Chile. The newly-remodeled lodge features seven en suite bedrooms, each with a stunning river view.
